The seas near the island in Route 105 were fraught with reports of Rockets coming to shore and the higher up rangers asked Elise to come back with any information they could gather about those Rockets’ approach. She rides atop of her Kingdra where the sea dragon Pokemon swims around a little far off from the shore to help her trainer do the job. Elise’s hands hold a binoculars in order to see if there were more coming to the island.[break][break]

Overhead of the duo of royal ambassador and her Kingdra, both the Starmie and Mudkip act as the defending Pokemon. Elise is told of a Rocket woman that the other Leaguers spotted around the sea, maybe that was what they wanted to gather info on.

Riding on the back of loaned Rocket trained Mantine's, her a few other grunts make their way back to the shoreline that Victoria had scouted out earlier. It was a prime spot for Rocket to hold but they weren't there for the Shore but for the cavern underneath the waters. On her signal she motion for them to split up and disperse.[break][break]

They should've already been debriefed on the location of the the underwater cavern. Meanwhile, it would seem Victoria would have her hands full dealing with the person patrolling the area. Behind the woman DREAM MIST crept from inland and spilled forth slowly outwards towards the shoreline. [break][break]

It hadn't reached just yet but it was just to envelop this side of the island at some point, meaning they had a timer on this little battle of theirs. Not waiting for petty pleasantries before battle Victoria snapped her fingers and her Arctovish appeared making it rain HAIL upon his mighty entrance.

Looking back at the pink Interdream Mist that threatens to engulf the island if the battle isn’t finished, the Galarian royal doesn’t have time to exchange pleasantries with the other woman when the cold comes from the Hail being summoned from the masked lady’s Arctovish. “Psychic.” Elise gives the order to her Starmie and with a spin of its body, Decarabia doesn’t delay in carrying out the order of its mistress.[break][break]

It sends a telekinetic blast of Psychic toward the Arctovish. Though the hail pelts the body of the starfish, Decarabia is unwilling to go out without a fight.

The HAILSTORM allows the Arctovish to slowly recover HP over time in addition to raising it's speed. Perhaps that's why it allowed itself to get hit by the PSYCHIC wave, to show that it was big and bad enough to eat such attacks. Tori shook her head as she snapped her fingers. Her Cloyster would appear and help support the Arctovish. [break][break]

As it pulled on the water surrounding the shore a vortex of water was formed around the group in a WHIRLPOOL. Meanwhile her Arctovish used FREEZE-DRY on the WHIRLPOOL'S waters to create an ice prison of sorts. A combination they had witness before but decided to utilize for their own benefits now. [break][break]

As HAIL steadily fell on the ice prison, cracks would begin to form like fissures around the frozen cell. An indication of what was to come, shatter shards and shrapnel would be sent towards the trapped party.

The party from the League’s side notes the combination of Freeze-Dry and Whirlpool making the icy prison that traps them and forces the royal ambassador to think of a way out…or they’ll deal with the shrapnel that will hurt even more. At the very least, Decarabia’s Psychic had hit the Arctovish for damage though the fossilized fish recovers its health. Rumi shoots the ice prison’s walls with a Dragon Pulse strong enough to create a large hole for the Kingdra to swim through along with the rest of Elise’s Pokemon following after the swimming seahorse, her Mudkip uses Protect to guard them against the falling shards and shrapnel.[break][break]

Decarabia continues to blast the Arctovish with Psychic and ignores the pelting of the Hail onto its body.

Her prey managed to figure a way out of the the trap her team had laid. It was no matter. She'd continue to attack again and again. She needed to cause a distraction enough so the rest of her team could get their hands on that underwater cavern. Grabbing hold of her trusty knives her Phione coated the blades with poisonous ACID ARMOR.[break][break]

Victoria quickly lunges at the royal, despite having no clue who she is. She just wants to keep her busy while the rest of her team fights her own. Her Arctovish conjures glowing purple teeth in the form of PSYCHIC FANGS to crunch down on the Mudkip while continuing to soak the PSYCHIC energy from the royal's Starmie. Tori's Cloyster rushes and uses SHELL SMASH on the Kingdra all while Victoria attempts to engage in close quarters combat with the enemy trainer with her poison coated blades..

The Mudkip is knocked out by the Arctovish’s Psychic Fangs and in the Mudkip’s place, Elise sends out her shiny Honedge sheathed in his scabbard after she returns her Mudkip back to his Dusk Ball. With Decarabia sending a blinding Dazzling Gleam towards the fossil fish Pokemon, it’s attempting to make up for the small water type’s knock out that it wants to distract the fish away from the Kingdra. During the middle of the Pokemon battling each other, the close combat from the other masked woman’s daggers makes the royal grab Clarent by the hilt.[break][break]

Of course, he does unsheathe himself before she grabbed him.[break][break]

Elise parries the daggers’ attack with Aerial Ace where she uses the lessons taught to her by Deputy Officer Wledig. She only needed to hold the line in making sure the mystery woman wouldn’t lay claim on the sea cavern that the League was apparently investigating themselves.

With the speed boost that the fossil fish has it manages to PROTECT and block the incoming DAZZLING GLEAM but unfortunately the blast ricochets off the barrier to hit the Phione by surprise. The contact was so sudden that it caused the Phione to faint. It was already thoroughly exhausted from all of it's recent escapades anyway. [break][break]

Tori sighed and recalled her pokémon, now only down to two. Meanwhile it seemed her prey wouldn't be so easily beaten. The Honedge would render the poison that coated her blades useless. With a disapproving click of her tongue Victoria continued her assaults. Her movement had been honed for years from Kanto training to enduring battle after battle as a mercenary. Her Cloyster meanwhile uses ICICLE SPEARS on the Kingdra that it had been attacking.

Decarabia’s Dazzling Gleam is unluckily blocked by the Arctovish’s Protect though it manages to hit the Phione. The Starmie’s core blinks when it sees the Phione faint though it hears the splash of water coming from the Cloyster being sent in the Phione’s stead. Rumi swims off to the side with Agility and avoids the Icicle Spears being thrown at her and her trainer before she fires a Dragon Pulse toward the shiny water type.[break][break]

The Starmie comes in between their foe and its trainer, it puts up a Protect in advance to shield its charge from any other attacks,
